Role Overview

The Financial Analyst & Operations role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data analytics. This position is responsible for driving financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting support, and operational performance tracking through advanced data insights and automation.

The role partners closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Product, and Leadership to improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the business, leveraging advanced Excel, Power BI dashboards, financial data analytics, and AI-enabled tools to support scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, executive dashboards, and KPIs covering both financial and operational performance.
  • Analyze revenue, costs, margins, and variances against budgets and forecasts, providing clear insights and recommendations.
  • Support preparation and review of management accounts in close coordination with accounting teams.
  • Build automated, scalable reporting solutions to improve accuracy, speed, and visibility.

Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A Support

  • Assist in annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning cycles.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, assumptions, and scenario analyses.
  • Track actuals vs forecasts, identify risks and inefficiencies, and proactively recommend corrective actions.

Operations & Performance Management

  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics including utilization, productivity, client onboarding, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
  • Support RevOps initiatives, client-level profitability analysis, and pricing reviews.
  • Analyze operational workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, and financial control.

Data Analytics, Dashboards & Automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations for leadership and business teams.
  • Perform financial data analytics to uncover trends, insights, and performance drivers.
  • Leverage advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, macros, complex models) for analysis and automation.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and decision-support capabilities.

Cross-Functional Business Partnering

  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and HR teams to support data-driven decisions.
  • Evaluate financial and operational impact of new features, customizations, and client requests.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to leadership as required.

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Improve financial and operational reporting processes through automation and standardization.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across finance and operational systems.
  • Support internal controls, documentation, and governance initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, operations finance, or business operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Exceptional Excel skills (advanced formulas, modeling, automation, Power Query/Power Pivot).
  • Strong experience with Power BI, dashboards, and data visualization.
  • Exposure to financial data analytics and large data sets.
  • Experience with ERP systems, BI tools, or fintech/SaaS platforms is a strong plus.
  • Experience in fintech, technology, or high-growth environments preferred.
